Our Program

Our Program

A local Psychologist commented that Rod and Deb O’Malley put in to practise what he explains in theory. They have extensive experience in horsemanship and have been helping those in our community to improve behavioural and mental health outcomes.

The program is based upon proven processes and research to promote physical and mental well-being through interaction with their rescued horses.

Horses assess our body language, emotions and actions, and respond to each of us as unique individuals. Horses come from a place of pure intention and respond to our behaviours and choices with respect and love.

Our program provides beneficial outcomes, particularly for people with:

  • PTSD
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bipolar
  • Autism
  • Bullying
  • Stress
  • ADHD
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Attachment issues/adoption adjustment
  • Low self-esteem
  • Behavioural conditions

We work with individuals in a one-on-one setting, with an individualised program ensuring participants receive the attention and support they need.

What to expect from a session

Together, we will begin to focus on your goals at a pace with which you are comfortable; you are the priority. You will meet the horses and the session may involve grooming the horses, leading the horses, playing with the horses, simply being with the horses or even engaging with the horses from outside the paddock. When you are ready and comfortable, ridden activities will assist with balance, strength and confidence. You are invited to explore and engage at your own pace and your safety and comfort are our top concerns.
